6 months into my Part 107 and getting decent at photogrammetry. Currently working as a survey tech making $22/hr. Wondering what the realistic salary range is for someone who specializes in drone work.
Should I push for a raise at my current firm or look elsewhere? Located in Texas if that matters.

In Texas, drone-focused survey techs are getting $25-35/hr depending on experience and how much processing you do. If you can handle the full workflow from flight planning to deliverable, you're worth more.
The real money is going independent but that comes with its own headaches.
I made the jump from $24 to $32/hr by switching firms and emphasizing my drone skills. The demand is there, especially if you're good at it. Don't undersell yourself.
